Welcome to my photo page! My name is Justus Jamison. I am a Fine art landscape photographer. I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I grew up with 5 siblings (two brothers and two sisters) and that meant life was never boring. I played sports, did instruments, and loved to do art. As I got older my art obsession only grew.
As a kid, I remember my dad had a picture of the moon that I was absolutely obsessed with. I would go to our basement and just stare at it (It now hangs in my room.) I would go into his closet and steal the old barely functioning cameras he had, trying to figure out how they worked and why my parents use to see in black and white (I now have my own camera and shoot black and white film.) Most mornings you'd find me up before the sun at our kitchen table with some pencils, crayons, or markers drawing for hours (I now edit my pictures for hours and hours at a time during the peace of the morning.) Freshman year of high school I took a photography class. My photos were absolutely awful. It's extremely hard for me to look back at the photo book I was given at the end of the year of my "best work." But I absolutely love the book because it shows, if anything, that I have made progress and grew as an artist. So why tell you all these short incomplete stories? Why do you need to know these things about me? Well, all these things helped me become the artist I am today. Each thing influenced how I got here and how I see the world. Hopefully, if you know just a little bit more about me, you will like my work just a little bit more.
